And You Will C Us: Tackling racial inequalities in cancer care’ was a Gilead-sponsored satellite symposium at the 25th Annual British Oncology Pharmacy Association (BOPA) Symposium 2022.

Dr Pinkie Chambers, Lead Pharmacist in Applied Health Research, Cancer Services at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, opens the session by introducing the key symposium objectives and themes including:

  • Local, national and organisational initiatives aimed at addressing racial disparities

Dr Majid Kazmi, Director of Innovation for Cancer & Surgery and Consultant Haematologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, provides an overview of the disparities apparent from a healthcare service angle and their impact on patients:

  • Social and structural barriers in the healthcare system
